“Lessons from 100: Reflections in My Centennial Year,” is a documentary feature, starring Jack Weber, who turned 100 years old in 2024. In conversation with his filmmaker grandson, Matthew Floyd, he explores his life and teaches us poignant lessons we can all take to heart – not only what it takes to live a long life, but what we need to do to make it a meaningful life. Jack Weber, born in 1924, published his memoir (Jack Weber, Here!) last year and it is available on Amazon. It is an incredibly moving story about love, loss, and the power of resilience, written with insight and humor by a member of the Greatest Generation. Spanning nearly a century of American history, his story teaches us to grab onto life and to never give up.
Matthew Floyd has been interested in the entertainment industry all his life, particularly in the art of storytelling. Whether it be in literature, film, theatre, or video games, the aspect that draws us in is the narrative.His goal in creating narratives is to create stories that give people an outlet to feel their emotions, even if it may be difficult in life. Barbara Weber-Floyd is a graduate of the Columbia University Graduate School of Journalism with a decades-long career that has included: business reporter for local newspapers and national magazines; field producer at CBS News in New York; producer for the national PBS business program, Adam Smith’s Money World; outreach associate and website writer for the PBS documentary, The Mystery of Love.
Anthony Mirabella is a versatile music producer, showcasing his talents across various platforms. He has composed music for blockbuster films such as "Super Mario Bros Movie", "Spider-Man: Into the Spider-Verse", "SpongeBob Movie: Sponge on the Run” and most recently “Despicable Me 4” as well as composing the entrance themes for WWE for since 2019.
